Doctor Who: The Impossible Crossing #1 gets REVIEWED!! (Edited!)

So mine and Alex’s little Doctor Who fan comic has been live online for a full 10 days now.
During that time we’ve manage to wrack up over 300 reads! Not bad for a little self published fan comic!
We’re hoping that that figure will only get larger and larger as two comic podcast shows from the States each feature a review of Issue 1!

First up the fab guys at The Comic Cabal Cast had me in tears with their review! They are so freaking funny, and such lovely things were said about the comic:
“It is on par with, or better than 90% of Doctor Who comics I’ve read!”
Everyone should totally check it out, along with the rest of the podcast!

Then I got word that the awesome The Two-Headed Nerd Comicast had given us a glowing review also:
“Really well written, the art is gorgeous”
These guys are great reviewers, check out the podcast and the review! http://twoheadednerd.com/2013/01/20/thn-99-so-potent-itll-get-you-pregnant/ (00:32:50, episode 99)

**EDITED**

Today Burnt Wieners shared their review of Impossible Crossing, and what a review! These guys are awesome, and really went all out chatting and discussing our first issue!
“The art is really sweet and lovely... Great shading and colour blending, it's quite charming... I thought they nailed the feel of the show”

I'm grinning from ear to ear after listening to this, everyone needs to hear it too!

I'd like to thank the podcasters from across the pond for their brilliantly enthusiastic and wonderfully touching reviews! Thanks for helping to spread the word!! You all ROCK!!
If any other reviewers or Doctor Who fans would like to tell us what you thought of our comic then please don't hesitate to drop me an email (sara-dunkerton@hotmail.com) or tweet me (@saradunkerton) Thanks!! :D

Axel Pressbutton - aka Mr Lee Grice!?

Wow, it's a post not about The Impossible Crossing! Haha!

A certain SPBM podcaster was in need of a new portrait picture, so to geek it up a bit I asked him for his favourite all time comic cover or movie poster.

So here is the lovely Lee Grice in the style of Mick Austin's Axel Pressbutton!

A New Year and a FINISHED COMIC!!!

Happy 2013 Everyone!!

I'm making this first post of the new year a double whammy, because as of yesterday I had finished colouring the final page of Doctor Who: The Impossible Crossing!

That's right, the first issue is complete!! All the remains to be done is fix up a cover (which is what I'm doing as I type!) and then get it out there for all of you to finally read!

There are two more panels which I gave you sneak peeks of at the penciled and inked stages, so here are those remaining panels in colour - Page 20, panel 1 and page 21, panel 3

Watch this space, as the next Impossible Crossing post will be the launch of this first issue! I hope you are all as excited as I am!

A very Merry Christmas to you all!

Afternoon Whovians!

Hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas!
I'm currently blogging to you from my family home in Somerset, still with a bellyful of fantastic food!

So while letting my turkey sarnies from lunch go down I'm going to get stuck into finishing the colours for page 19 of Doctor Who: The Impossible Crossing!
Only 3 pages to colour while I'm here in the homelands, and then full issue is on target to be released early in the New Year!

For now though here is a look at the colours for a panel depicting the wonderful 8th Doctor, as previously seen in the pencilled and inked stages.

Wishing you all the very best for 2013! :D

"I'm not really meant to be down here, see?"

Morning Who fans!

This week I'll update you with the final colours for a rather small panel that I'm quite fond of.

Panel 3, page 13 (as seen during the inked and penciled stage here) may not look all the special on it's own but I'm a huge fan of Harriet, and I feel this panel especially caught her sheepish charm when she's found out of bounds in the Cargo Bay.

Hopefully when you all come to read the 1st issue, you'll all love Harriet as much as I do!

The Grand Staircase - Doctor Who: Impossible Crossing

Progress with colouring Impossible Crossing issue 1 is coming along nicely! I just yesterday finished page 14, and today am currently working on page 15!
Once completed that'll leave only 7 pages left to colour!

So who wants to get a peek at some of these coloured panels then?

As I've shown you the pencils and the inks for possibly one of my favourite panels in the comic, I'll show you the colours for it too!

I give you the Grand Staircase on board Titanic!
