Christmas Commissions! Miley Pup - Pet Portrait

 Hey Everyone!

I've got yet another pet portrait to share with you today, but with a difference!
This pet portrait is a caricature!

Yup, I got an excuse to get my copic markers out and work my anthro magic on this gorgeous little cockapoo pup!
Good friend and avid supporter of my comic series; MULP: Sceptre of the Sun, Jeremy Briggs has commissioned me for caricatured pet and themed portraits in the past, and in the run up to Christmas he asked that I draw his sister's puppy Miley, after her namesake Miley Cyrus on, you guessed it, a wrecking ball!

So without further ado, here she is!

This portrait is A4 in size, and as mentioned, coloured using Copic Markers!
This was such a fun piece to draw! Thank you Jeremey and I'm glad to hear your sister and the kids liked it (even if it did take some explaining to Grandma!)

If you would like to see your pet drawn as the person or character they are named after, then please get in touch!

Christmas Commissions! Reuben the Lab - Pet Portrait

 Hey Everyone!
How's this wet and windy Thursday treating you?

I think the pet portrait I'm sharing today will help brighten your day...

This incredibly handsome lad is Reuben! He was commissioned as a Christmas present by Emily for her brother. I think from the sneak peeks I posted on instagram a lot of people who know me thought I was drawing my Labrador pup! They are a very similar colour and even wear the same harness! I can only hope that my little Lupin grows into as gorgeous a boy as Reuben!

This pet portrait is A4 in size and coloured traditionally using pencil colours.
If you or someone you know has a beautiful fur baby that deserves a portrait like this then, as always, get in touch!

Christmas Commissions! Lucca and Sienna - Pet Portrait

Morning Everyone!
I hope today finds you all safe and well despite the impending rain, I've got some lovely wet dog walks waiting for me this week I reckon!

I tell you who's probably been tucking themselves up nice and warm in this weather though, it's the subjects of my next Christmas commission reveal!

These two fancy felines are Lucca (black and white) and Sienna (tortoiseshell), PJ made the request for a portrait of this stunning pair for his dad and step mum. I am told that though they could only open gifts to each other over a video call this year, this portrait made quite the impression! I'm so glad you both liked it, even if a drink was spilled in the process!

This double pet portrait is A3 in size and coloured in a traditional style using pencil colours!

If you know someone who would love a portrait of their beloved pets like this, then get in touch!

Christmas Commissions! Luna - Pet Portrait

Morning Everyone!
I hope that today finds you all safe and well!

Today I'm going to share with you another pet portrait I was commissioned to do as a Christmas gift for a very special lady of a very special pooch!

As you may know from previous posts I got a Labrador puppy called Lupin last year. One thing we learned as new puppy parents was that socialisation from an early age is very important for dogs, however you can't take your pup out to meet new dogs until they have had all their vaccinations! So, we brought fully vaccinated playmates to our pup in order for him to play in the safety of our garden and socialise from the age of 8 weeks!
The very first dog he met is the dog who's portrait I'm sharing with you today!

This gorgeous girl is Luna.
She's a 2 year old Lab-Collie cross and belongs to my neighbour, who commissioned this piece for his partner Sarah!

This portrait is A4 in size and done using pencil colours.
Lupin and Luna remain very good friends and regularly visit the park together, here's a pic from their very first meeting!

If you would like to commission a portrait of a special pet, just like this one of Luna, then please get in touch!

Christmas Commissions! George the Labradoodle - Pet Portrait

Hey Everyone, and...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Good riddance to 2020, though eh!? Here's hoping that 2021 sees a safe and gradual return to normality, where we can once again enjoy the physical company of our friends and families.
I hope you were all able to enjoy what must have been very different Christmases and New Years celebrations this year, whether it was bubbled with another house hold or via phone call or video chat with loved ones.

Though it might be difficult to find things to be thankful of from 2020, I would like to share one personal heartfelt vote of thanks to everyone who commissioned me last year!
Your continued love and support of my work has meant a great deal and has been pivotal in helping me through both the March lockdown and the one in November. It's no secret that I found myself furloughed from my part-time job during both national Lockdowns of 2020 (and once again now in 2021!). Having numerous commission requests pour in during both Lockdowns significantly helped me both financially and mentally!
So thank you, every one of you, who commissioned artwork in 2020 and to your continued support through 2021!

On that note, I can now begin to share with you some pieces that were commissioned as Christmas gifts!

Starting with a Secret Santa gift to Tom and James from myself and Dan. This handsome bundle of curls is George the Labradoodle!

George's portrait is A4 in size and coloured traditionally using colouring pencils!

Stay tuned for more Christmas commissions over the coming weeks!
If you're looking through these and would like to immortalise your pet in a piece of original art, then please get in touch!
