MULP - Latest News!

Want to know what's been going on in the MULP-verse? Here's a little re-cap of all the latest news, reviews and interviews!

Gosh! and Orbital Comics

Orbital Comics in London are now stocking copies of MULP: Sceptre of the Sun #1, and Gosh! have recently got new new stock in! So if you're in London and still not picked up your copy yet, go check out these fine retailers!

Geek Native Review

Andrew Girdwood very kindly reviewed MULP #1 for Geek Native.

"Just a few panels later and we see the gentlemice have unearthed a large - and clearly human - skeleton. It is funny how one panel can change your perception of a comic book. All of a sudden I was intrigued."

Thank you Andrew!

Sci-Fi Pulse Review

Over on the SciFi Pulse Website, Raissa Devereux reviews MULP #1

"Writer Matt Gibbs did a marvelous job tying the mythologies of three different cultures — Egyptian, Greek, and Incan, into the story. Artist Sara Dunkerton superbly drew the mice throughout. I was especially impressed by how she drew the archeological dig to mouse scale, highlighting the huge human skull relative to them."

Thank you Raissa!

Sci-Fi Pulse Radio ep.23 - Creator Interview!

CamCon 2014

MULP and the Mousketeers visited CamCon in Cambridge on Saturday 30th August!
I was accompanied by my partner in crime, Matt Gibbs and that cheeky chappie Chris Wildgoose! As with Bristol, our table sported works from Improper Books that the boys had contributed to, Chris' Porcelain prints and of course MULP: Sceptre of the Sun #1!

Despite being only a one day convention CamCon didn't disappoint, we all had a fantastic time! The staff organising the event were very helpful, the people were incredibly lovely and the Cosplayers were on form, just look at these great costumes!

As with Bristol Expo back in May, I settled down to sketch at the table. I finally finished the Mousified drawing of Uncle and Child from Porcelain, which I gave to Chris. I also drew a mousey Hogwarts student inspired by our table neighbour, Hannah, who was dressed in Hufflepuff robes. As Hannah kindly bought copies of our comics I gave her the Hogwarts mouse as a thank you!

I was also very excited to be given the finished piece of custom MULP jewellery, which I'd previously worn at Bristol Expo. Vicky Cox hadn't been able to set the stones in time for the previous con, however here is this gorgeous piece of MULPy jewellery in all it's glory!
Thank you so much Vicky, it is perfect!

It's a shame that CamCon was only a one day event, I had a brilliant time and MULP was so generously received! I think my convention highlights were geeking out over Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures up in the tabletop gaming area, chatting with some amazing people and of course sharing the table with Matt and Chris! It was great seeing you again, Sirs!

Our next convention will be the Lakes International Comic Art Festival, in Kendall on the 18th and 19th October, I can't wait!

Themed Portraits - Eowyn and Faramir

Here's another Themed Portrait for you all, though the subject of this one is slightly different…
Yes, that is me!

I was commissioned by my boyfriend to draw us as Eowyn and Faramir from the Lord of the Rings.
